Our Farmers

Hillcrest Farms

Dough is proud to partner with Hillcrest Farms of Verona. Hillcrest Farms has been integral in the installation of our new multi-tiered vegetable garden; providing seedlings and flowers, as well as the state of the art irrigation system. We couldn’t be more thankful to have such wonderful people involved in our projects, and look forward to the things we can accomplish in the years to come.

Hillcrest Farms also provides us with an abundance of produce and vegetables throughout the year.

Circle Brook Farm

We proudly source a large majority of our high quality ingredients from Circle Brook Farm in Andover, NJ. With expansive acres of pesticide-free, organic produce, every ingredient we receive from farmer John Kreuger is at the absolute peak of freshness and flavor. Gladstone Valley Farm

Our heritage chickens are provided by Gladstone Valley Farm in Peapack, NJ. This family-run operation is a branch of Riverbend Farms, and shares our same commitment to high-quality, humanely raised animals.

Gladstone Valley Farm raises traditional heritage chickens that are best suited for being raised on the open pasture. These beautiful red speckled chickens are very active foragers, eating grass and searching for food as they move around the fields.

Heritage chickens are fed a 100% GMO-free seed diet, supplementing the food found within the grass. As a result, heritage chickens offer more Omega-3’s, higher levels of Vitamin A, C & E, higher beta-carotene, less fat and less cholesterol.

Riverbend Farms

Our Berkshire pork is provided by Riverbend Farms in Peapack, NJ. These humanely raised pigs enjoy beautiful pastures where they are free to roam and forage as they would in their natural habitat. The pigs are fed an entirely natural diet, free of antibiotics, hormones & GMO feed, supplemented by plenty of garden scraps (and loads of apples!)

About the Berkshire Pig

Three hundred years ago – so legend has it – the Berkshire hog was discovered by Oliver Cromwell’s army during the English civil war in the shire of Berks in England. After the war, army veterans carried the news to the outside world of the wonderful hogs of Berks; larger than any other swine of that time and producing hams and bacon of rare quality and flavor.
